DISCOVERY KIDS
Welcome to Discovery Kids, a fee-based program for grades 3K through Kindergarten, where we believe in nurturing young minds and shaping bright futures. With a deep passion for childcare and education, our journey began with a vision to create a safe and enriching environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive. At Discovery Kids, we understand that early childhood is a critical development phase. We are dedicated to providing a holistic approach to learning that embraces intellectual growth and emotional, social, and physical development.

Dodge YMCA “Compass” Afterschool @307
The Dodge YMCA provides a free after-school program that focuses on learning enhancement, health and recreation, and building competence and confidence in children. On-going registration for Kindergarten to 5th grade is open, this program is free and runs from 2.20 to 5.30 pm daily. The program accepts 100 students, first come first served. Brooklyn Diamonds
The Brooklyn Diamonds is a competitive cheer team that uses cheerleading as a catalyst to promote physical fitness, leadership skills, community service, and teamwork. The team currently consists of girls from P.S. 307 in grades 3rd – 5th and middle school girls in grades 6th - 8th but it’s open to boys as well. They currently practice 3 days per week Wednesday thru Friday from 3:00-6:00 pm. Parents are responsible for the purchasing of uniforms and all cheer accessories as well as entry fees and transportation to cheer competitions. Contact mstracy2000@aol.com for more information.
Boys & Girls Club (offsite)
The Madison Square Boys & Girls Club at 240 Nassau Street is a free after school club that serves up to 200 students. At their Navy Yard Clubhouse young people build trusting relationships with adults and peers, get academic guidance and emotional support, cultivate their interests, and build a second home that helps them grow and thrive. he program which is offered to students from 6 to 18 years runs on weekdays from 2.45 pm to 9 pm (school pick-up available). The facility includes a basketball court sponsored by the Brooklyn Nets, a computer lab, cafeteria and more. Students are engaged in homework help, sports, STEM programs and more throughout the afternoon with a 10:1 ratio. A free meal is provided to all students.
